Satoshi Maruhashi
Satoshi Maruhashi is a painter, multi artist based in Tokyo, Japan. Born in 1970, he started his career at the young age of twenty as a model in commercials and advertising for renowned brands such as Mercedes Benz or Seven Stars.
He then developed his sense of design which led him to create a snowboarding apparel line called Npathletics and customize design bicycles for a brand called 4ING.
In that way Satoshi keeps broadening his works in diverse areas from model to spatial designer or shop interior designer. In 2015, Satoshi Maruhashi officially started his career as an artist painter.
His colorful paintings work on the sensibility one can feel looking at different colors. By exploring themes such as light and dark, success and failure or front and back, he expresses life through a distinctive painting style and color arrangement.
As a member of the Art Agency in Europe, Satoshi organized the Tokyo International Art Fair in 2015/2017 and his very own the Art Space MARU84 in Tokyo as well.
